Family's Love

Once again, we invite you to join us for our annual fundraising event For Lindsay+!

In 2025 the For Lindsay+ Virtual 4 Miler will take place during the entire month of October - allowing contributors to join in from wherever and participate whenever! Walk, run, bike or even just gather - however you choose to show up For Lindsay is entirely up to you.

Purchase an event shirt at (www.unscriptedmerch.com/for-lindsay), wear it proudly on your chosen day and post a picture using the tag #forlindsay to show your support and help raise awareness!

2025 proceeds will benefit Pink Ribbon Good, going directly toward meals for metastatic breast cancer families in Central OH. Our cumulative amount raised in Lindsay's name since 2016, is over $133,000!

Lindsay was a hero to other breast cancer warriors throughout her own battle and she continues to uphold this title for those who are still in the fight - even in her absence. She gracefully faced uncertainty, head on, every single day. Lindsay's perseverance inspires us to continue to give back in her name, every year, to those who are still on the frontlines battling a breast cancer diagnosis. We hope that you will join us, once again, For Lindsay+!

In 2024 our $16,600 in proceeds benefited AON Cares, helping breast cancer patients and their families cover rent, groceries, and utilities.

In 2023, the For Lindsay virtual 5k transitioned into a 4-miler, with the extra mile in memory of Lindsay's mom, Angela, who passed away after a 9-year battle with breast cancer. The "+" was added at the end of For Lindsay, specifically in memory of Angela, as well as so many other brave women in similar circumstances. That year we raised $15,900 total and proceeds benefited Zangmeister Cancer Center.

Lindsay's Story ...

Lindsay's Story ...

Her Story

In 2009, Lindsay found a lump during a routine breast exam. She was 27 years old. Initially, she was told it was a benign lump and it would continue to be monitored. After feeling uneasy about her initial diagnosis, Lindsay listened to her body and went for a second opinion in 2010. A few days later, at age 28, she was told, "You have breast cancer." She went through chemo, radiation and a double mastectomy with her husband and an army of supporters by her side; and she was finally ready and able to continue on with her life. Or so she thought. Unfortunately, life had other plans, and in November 2011, Lindsay was diagnosed with stage iv metastatic breast cancer. Metastatic breast cancer has no cure, and Lindsay knew she would be on treatment indefinitely. She made it her mission to spread awareness about the importance of listening to your body and seeking out second opinions. She spoke at numerous events and counseled other young women facing a breast cancer diagnosis. She held events to raise money for metastatic research. She faced every day with courage, grace, and strength.

In 2016, after a 5.5 year fight, Lindsay gained her wings. Her legacy continues, and Lindsay lives on in the hearts and minds of those who knew her. Family and friends are now her voice - sharing her story and spreading awareness, educating as many people as possible about the importance of being your own advocate.

"Listen to your body. If something doesn't seem right, it probably isn't. Keep asking questions until you're comfortable with the answers." - Lindsay Giannobile

Lindsay's Legacy ...

Her Legacy

During her time in hospice, Lindsay expressed her desire to make an impact that would reach beyond the span of her lifetime. Giving back to those who are still battling breast cancer was one of her final wishes and it's one we've had the honor of fulfilling, annually, through the patronage of an unwavering community of supporters! Lindsay continues to be a blessing TO others THROUGH others, and her legacy has provided over $133,000 for other breast cancer warriors since her passing in 2016. Lindsay had a unique way of bringing people together and she continues to do so every year in the name of other cancer affected families!
